"Covered Bridge"

by
Craig Willms

This painting was commissioned our good friends Mary and Lori. They went on a tour up and down the coast of Oregon and northern California in search of lighthouses and covered bridges. This was the covered bridge they liked the best.

"The Stand"
20X24 (acrylic)
2018
by
Craig Willms

This is the second birch forest painting I've done in the last few months. Our friend Jill liked the first one very much, so... Here you go!

"We're Not in Chicago Anymore"
36X48 (acrylic)
2017
by
Craig Willms

This is my take on the familiar birch forest painting. You may have seen paintings like this with hidden deer or other animals, or maybe a pinto pony with its markings melding with the birch tree scars, and only upon close inspection can you even detect it. Well, this my unique take on this concept. The clue is the title of the painting... I'll leave it at that.

note: this painting was given to our close friends Dave and Michelle for the northern Wisconsin cabin they are currently renovating.

"The Boys of Summer"
18X24 (acrylic)
2017
by
Craig Willms

This one was commissioned by my good friend Jason Lance. The boys are his sons in this redux of a painting I did for him years ago featuring his dog in the front position. The underlying background sky and water was done with an airbrush, a skill I am trying to acquire... I am pretty pleased with how it came out - Jason seemed happy with it too!

"Watson Lake - Prescott AZ"
24X40 (acrylic)
2017
by
Craig Willms

From a photo I took myself on our southwest tour. My wife and I fell in love with this place just outside of Prescott AZ. The mountains in the background are the San Francisco range in beautiful Flagstaff AZ some 90 miles away. This one hangs in our living room.

"Reflections of Monet"

18X24 (acrylic)
2016
by
Craig Willms

Commissioned by my friend Anya K. The photo I worked from was taken by her friend [name unknown] and we both agreed it reminded us of a Monet painting. So, it became a 'Monet' as seen through corrective lenses!

Yellowstone's lovely Lewis Falls as twilight approaches...

"Checking The Weather"

"The Sun Sets on the Mariner"

This scene I'm told is a sunset viewed from "The Mariner" a Door County hotel on Lake Michigan. Sadly The Mariner has since closed... For Gus and Anne. Inspired by an excellent photo shot by frequent Mariner guest Mike Wagner.
