I've become obsessed with still life. I went to the Internet and found one of those free-to-use photo sites and constructed a picture from multiple sources. I plan to present this as a house warming gift to a person moving after nearly 60 years in the same house.

This is my first ever still life. Now you may think it's not necessarily a classical representation of a traditional art form. Ha - you'd be wrong! Notice the bowl of fruit...
This was painted for my great friend Jim C. He was unaware I was doing it and was genuinely and pleasantly surprised. It now hangs in his recording studio and my hope is that it stirs fond memories of the time we spent making music over the years.
